Terms

Last updated 26 August 2026. The deal, in plain language.

The short version. Use Nine Pockets to keep track of the cards you own. Your collection stays yours. Don't abuse the shared card reader. It is a small app run by one person, so it comes with no promises it cannot keep.

Using it

You need an account to use the shared card reader and to have your collection backed up. An account means an email address a login server vouches for — nothing more. You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in, and accounts belong to adults: children collect as profiles inside a parent's account.

What you may not do

Your collection is yours

You keep every right to your own data and photos. Storing them here grants only the permission needed to run the service for you: to hold them, show them back to you, and sync them to your own devices. They are not used to train anything, not sold, and not shown to anyone else unless you deliberately share them.

Free and paid

The free tier is a real tier, not a trial: manual collecting is unlimited and always will be. The paid tier raises the allowances that cost money to provide — card scans, photo backup, deal searching. Prices and allowances can change, with notice, and a change never reaches back into a period you have already paid for.

If you stop paying, nothing is deleted. Your account returns to the free tier: everything you already have stays readable and every card stays yours. Only new uploads pause once you are above a free binder's ceiling.

Cancelling

Cancel whenever you like and the subscription runs to the end of the period you paid for. If the app has genuinely failed you, ask for a refund and you will get a fair answer from a human.

Prices and card data

Prices shown are estimates gathered from public sources and are frequently wrong in both directions. They are a guide for curiosity, never an appraisal, and must not be relied on for buying, selling, insuring, or grading decisions.

Not affiliated with Pokémon

Nine Pockets is an independent app made by a fan for other fans. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or produced by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK or The Pokémon Company. All trademarks belong to their owners; they are used here only to describe the cards you already own.

What is not promised

This is a small app run by one person in their own time. It is provided as it is, without warranties, and it may have bugs, be unavailable, or lose data despite genuine effort not to. Keep your cards; they are the real collection. To the fullest extent the law allows, liability is limited to what you have paid in the previous twelve months.

Ending things

You can stop using Nine Pockets and delete your account at any time. Access may be ended for anyone who does the things listed above — and if that happens for any reason other than abuse, you will be given a way to take your collection with you first.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes and the app says so before the change takes effect for you.
